I'm having an annoyingly frustrating day and I need to just keep reminding myself that I love theatre.
Ugh.
So this Sweeney Todd stuff is difficult! People keep dropping out. It scares me a bit. We started out with like six altos and now we're down to two. That means I have to sing extra to make up for the other four people we're missing! Not cool.
Also I'm supposed to have all the music memorized by tomorrow night. . . HA! I giggle. Tomorrow shall be very interesting. I hope Lori doesn't yell at us again.
Alpha Psi Omega stuff is going swimmingly. Our hats should be in today or tomorrow which is quite exciting. We have a good plan for the semester and I'm anxious to get it started.
USITT meeting tonight. This should also be interesting. Our President found out he won't be able to attend our conference in March which means I will assume the position while there. Scary! Christopher was teasing me last night about having to babysit all the people we're taking. It was funny at first. . . then I started actually thinking about it. I do NOT want to be a babysitter while I'm there. I want to enjoy myself and enjoy the fact that I am now 21 and being a girl in a mostly male populated conference, I've been told I won't ever have to buy myself a drink. SWEET!
Speaking of drinks. . . is 7:53 too early? jk jk . . . kind of.
Ugh. . . off to class. Again.
Can't I be done with school now?!
It appears that I am in dire need of an update.
However, I'm crazy busy and it's almost break. So for now know that I am the Vice President of Alpha Psi Omega and initiation was fantastic.
Sweeney Todd auditions went well and I'm in!

So I'm pretty much ready for Alpha Psi Omega week!
I've got all my costumes sorted out. (finally) I'm really excited about them. I think I did a good job. I'll give you a sneak peek of what my plans are:

Friday - Penelope
I got my outfit for Friday today . . . so excited! Friday also happens to be the IT Christmas Party. Thank God it's off campus so I don't have to bowl in character! : P I'm hoping to hit up the Grotto on Friday. We'll see.
Now I just need to finish preparing for Sweeney Todd auditions and finish up my Astronomy Labs and I'm golden.

Strike went amazingly well today. It was pretty quick and very smooth. There weren't any huge outbursts or much frustration from anyone. Probably one of the best strikes I've experienced. The show went well too.
I'm sad the shows are finished. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. I just spent the past two months with the same people almost every day. I miss them already.
I have to say being an A.D. was probably one of the most fun and rewarding things I've ever done. It makes me that much more eager to learn more. I can't even describe how good it feels to not only be living my passion but to excel at it. (Or at least I assume I'm doing well and I take compliments and constructive criticism very seriously.) I can't wait to start doing some of my own directing. I feel like I'm headed in the right direction. After two years I'm FINALLY on the right path.
Now I just have to be patient and wait for Sweeney Todd auditions and Alpha Psi Omega initiation. I think I'm looking forward to those as much as I am my 21st birthday. Sad!
I would like to thank Jeanne again for giving me this awesome opportunity and taking the time to teach me something that I promise you I will value for the rest of my life. I really, sincerely, appreciate what you've done for me. : )
